The Summer BBQ (Style) is the revival of historic Summer events held as the Rookcross Concours BBQ and then the Woodcroft BBQ. Trophies bearing those names are awarded in recognition of that heritage.
We return to the Kentish Horse in Mark Beech and the event will be held in a field behind the pub. The food is served in a marquee in the garden and this year will be a barbecue style meal prepared in the pub kitchen rather than actually on a barbecue!
You can expect homemade burgers, sausage, salad, chips and garnishes.
The event opens at Midday and the BBQ style lunch will be served from 1.00pm.
The Pride of Ownership will be self judged commencing at 2.00pm.
Classes will be:-
- Premier Pride of Ownership for recent past winners
- Pride of Ownership pre 1956
- 1956 through to 1990
- Post 1990 to date.
- Car of Show.
The Awards will be handed out around 4pm – rosettes will be issued at the event and trophies will be given at the Annual Awards Lunch on Sunday 22nd November
Please bring your own picnic chairs – there will be some seating and tables in the marquee.
The field is uneven and may be difficult for those with mobility issues. Pub is accessible and has all facilities.
