Thank you to all those who have donated to the Brain Tumour Charity over the last 18 months either through raffles, collections or direct donations. We have raised a fantastic £1192 for the charity.
The Centre committee are now choosing a new charity to support for the next year – we’ll let you know when it has been chosen.
The MGCCSE supports a main charity each year. Fundraising for the charity is carried out throughout the year through special events and collections. Our Natters and Wanderers are also encouraged to raise funds for the club’s charity and some also raise funds for charity locally for other causes.
Members of the committee and natters/wanderers groups nominate a charity to support and the committee votes on those submitted.
For 2022/ 2023 the club has chosen the Brian Tumour Charity.
“The Brain Tumour Charity is the world’s leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, we’re moving further, faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour. We’re set on finding new treatments, offering the highest level of support and driving urgent change. And we’re doing it right now. Because we understand that when you, or someone you love, is diagnosed with a brain tumour a cure really can’t wait.”
You can donate directly to the Centre’s Just Giving page or make donations at a meeting.
