Naviscats are a fun and challenging way into grassroots motorsport. You can take part in any car, it doesn’t have to be an MG, and with the simple tools you can navigate your way around a small area of the Sussex countryside looking for the answer to clues handed out at the start.
Return to the finish point, a cosy country pub, for lunch and to hand your answers in – don’t forget that for every minute you are late one point is deducted!
There are three aspects to a Naviscat (Navigational Scatter):-
- Plot points on an OS map using 6 figure locations at the start
- Navigate your way around those points in your car in the time available (you will need a navigator using the OS map to do this as Sat Navs are disqualified – and won’t help you much anyway!)
- Solve the clue to be found at each navigation point.
