The weather is bound to warm up soon and just in time for the South East Centre’s Summer social, BBQ and Pride of Ownership. This event returns for 2024 and will take place on
Saturday 6th July
at the Kentish Horse pub in Mark Beech just south of Ednebridge in Kent. There is easy access from East Grinstead and Tunbridge Wells areas and it is central to the Centre’s area.
The event will take place in the pub’s field to the rear of the pub – you can see the tractors leaving it in the above picture!
The event entry fee will include the BBQ salads, potato, bread roll and one portion of meat as well as
Pride of Ownership participation. Additional meats can be ordered on the day from the menu, with
choices including Chicken, Burger (may be venison or beef) in a bun or Hot Dog.
The field will be open from noon and the BBQ from 1pm.
The Pride of Ownership will be self-judging and commences at 2pm.
There will be three classes:
Class A Pre 1956 MGs
Class B 1956 to 1990 MGs
Class C Post 1990 MGs
Premier PoO and Ordinary PoO in each class.
Prizegiving will be at 4pm
This will be a good summer social event for those in the entire region.
Entry is £18.50 for the driver to include BBQ and £15.50 per passenger.
Note: Entry includes 50p carbon offset.
