Which Tier Treasure Hunt

Which Tier Treasure Hunt – Wed 16th Dec 8pm

UPDATE:  The Tiers have been decided and it looks as though most of us in Surrey, Kent and South London are now in Tier 3 but our members in Sussex have largely escaped !! That means that the Which Ter Treasure Hunt has also been concluded with a small number of teams taking part in a virtual stroll around Dorking. The clue busting was really good with the winner, Rob Ball, only dropping one point (and that was as a result of the host not being able to count clocks! – it’s a long story) and he was flying solo. Team Morgan were the runners up and also won the bonus prize for being the most christmassy couple.

Thanks to all who did take part – the virtual treasure hunt is a great way to learn about google maps and is an observational challenge solving various clues in a set time frame. This is a light-hearted non-championship event you can do from the comfort of your home – will we do it again? You never know with Tier 3 now being on us it could be a while before we can actually meet in person again – so look out in the New Year!

Yes, it is the day our new tiers are decided but which ones will the South East be in? We are already in 3 and 2 but how will that change, if at all?
Never mind all that, we can still get together and have a treasure hunt via Zoom to mark the first post lockdown two re-assessment day and the fast approaching Christmas parole!

It’s a virtual walking treasure hunt around Dorking solving clues as you go around a circular route through the town. A bit like an actual treasure hunt but in your front room!

You’ll need to make yourself familiar with how Google Maps works (don’t use any other mapping system as it won’t work properly and you might miss some answers!).

Starting at 8pm we’ll virtually gather in Dorking Halls car park ready for the off. Clues will be made available just prior to the start.

Have fun, have arguments, drink wine, wear a Christmas jumper but you have to message us or email to take part as he’ll have to send you a zoom link – and remember it’s for MGCC members only.
