The SE Centre Spring Lunch was held on 19 May at The Hartsfield Manor Hotel set in lovely parkland with a view over the North Downs. The hotel’s classical façade provided an excellent backdrop for the display of member’s cars.
Lunch took place in the atmospheric Terrace lounge with its Regency styling and after a great lunch, members were entertained by Ian Quarrington, the immediate past MGCC Chairman, on one of his hobbies, not MG cars but organs and organ playing.
The afternoon finished with some of the awards being presented to members at the lunch. We also welcomed Pauline Reynolds and her daughter Lorna to the lunch to receive a plaque recording Colin Reynolds support and contribution to the Centre following his demise earlier in the year. Pauline brought Colin’s lovely MGC to the lunch.
