This is the second of the Sussex Trophies that were given to the main Centre to use by David Griffiths. The Rookcross Trophy was awarded for the car of the show at the Black Horse Natter Summer BBQ and Concours from 1987.
It became unused after 2019 when the natter closed, and this and the Black Horse Trophy were given to the Centre for future use.
They were both re-activated in 2025 following the re-introduction of the Centre’s Summer BBQ and Pride of Ownership in 2024. It was awarded in 2025 at the Kentish Horse pub in Mark Beech to retain the purpose of a Summer BBQ event.
