The Centre would like to reintroduce competitive events that you can take part in with your MG. After our very successful entry with a small class of five cars at the Maidstone & Mid Kent Motor Club’s hill climb trials event last September, we are now looking for some feedback on interest in this type of event amongst members and which events to compete in again this year.
The MMKMC have two trials planned for 2022 – one on 27th March and the other 30th October both at the same venue as last year, just south west of Maidstone. Dependent on interest we can just enter one or both of them but we need to decide fairly urgently of we want to enter the March event.
MMKMC are also holding an Autotest taster day on grass on 8th May as an all-day Sunday event held, once again, south west of Maidstone. This would be a great event to support members who either haven’t entered before or not competed for some time.
In addition to MMKMC, there are other clubs that also organise grass autotests such as Bognor Regis Motor Club but these are often held as an evening event.
