AGM DETAILS AND PAPERS

We are delighted to present the details of the MGCCSE AGM on Sunday 28th November.

Our AGM this year will take place in the Upstairs Meeting Room of the 16th century Bent Arms Public House in Lindfield, West Sussex RH16 2HP and all members are welcome to attend.

The pub is situated close to Haywards Heath on the B2028 and has a large car park at the rear. If you are booking to stay for Sunday Lunch at the Bent Arms, please use this car park. If you are eating elsewhere, I would be grateful if you would park in one of the public car parks.

1   Tea & Coffee will be available from 11.0am.

2   The MGCC SE Centre AGM will start promptly at 11.30am and should finish at 12.30pm.

3. Tea/ Coffee break – complimentary in meeting room

4   A short talk will then follow presented by Mark Gardner, a fuel specialist from Gulf Oil Race Fuels on the issues associated with E10 fuel.

Sunday Lunch

The majority of members will then move downstairs to celebrate with a drink and a Sunday Lunch. Sunday Lunch is available to us between 1.30pm and 4.0pm but this must be ordered in advance from the pub.  You will need to act swiftly to be sure of reserving a table!

A sample Sunday Menu is available on the pub website which includes Sunday Roasts: httph://www.thebentarms.co.uk  or  telephone to book a table on: 01444 483146

Please note that there are many other cafes and pubs in this area but my advice would always be to book in advance.

It should also be noticed that the local area has something for everyone should you wish to visit elsewhere:

1/ The National Trust Sheffield Park Gardens with café are just 6 miles East.

2/ The Bluebell Line Steam Railway has a terminus at Sheffield Park Station which now boasts a pub called the Bessemer Arms for food etc.

3/ The old coaching inn at Sheffield Green now provides a café, pub and Trading Boundaries – an interesting please to browse.

4/ A short drive south takes you to the historic town of Lewes and the surrounding South Downs National Park.

Please advise me if you will be joining us for the AGM on 01634 201145 or [email protected]
